I am available for workshops, residencies, panels and interviews or articles about writing and education. For schools, I offer interactive and engaging assemblies and workshops based around my novels for children. These have a cross-curricular focus, exploring adventure writing through science (adaptation) and geography (animal migration, rivers and ocean). I regularly lead workshops at festivals and arts days - including the New Forest Show, Bath Family Arts Day, and MAST Family Fun Day.
I run writing workshops for children and adults in outdoor places, such as farms, parks and nature reserves. I also facilitate workshops indoors, when required - and sometimes can even be found teaching in an academic context.
In my capacity as an educator, I run a very small SEND Alternative Provision in the Southampton Area where young people have the opportunity to explore nature through equine care in a holistic, student-led 121 setting. Please contact me for further information. I also offer CPD sessions for teachers to support literacy learning in the outdoors.
